Harbor Country’s newest restaurant, Soé Café highlights innovative twists on classic comfort food in a dining room and bar reminiscent of big-city hot spots.
In the minimalist, warmly-lit main room, diners may browse the local mixed-media art adorning the walls before taking seats beside the stone fireplace or in front of windows offering sweeping views of the surrounding property. Start with a glass or bottle from the wine list of local favorites alongside French and California selections.
Starters are as sophisticated as the setting; pan-seared sashimi tuna is upgraded with peppered rice chips and jalapeño aïoli,
and a portobello mushroom is stuffed with chèvre, artichokes, sun-dried tomatoes and caramelized onions. Don’t miss the housemade blackberry vinaigrette, perfect on the salad topped with scallions, Gorgonzola and New York strip steak. The spinach-and-fontina-stuffed pork chops with Michigan-apple buerre blanc are a favorite main course, or opt for the potato-crusted grouper with roma tomato and caper relish.
Open Sun-Mon, Wed-Thurs 11 am-10 pm, Fri-Sat until 11 pm.
